After making the decision to shift its information technology-operations (IT) from outside to a more in-sourced business services model, General Motors is now moving on to the next phase by hiring people.
On Thursday, the Detroit carmaker said that it will absorb around 3,000 employees from Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP), who are already working on GM’s IT business and place them on its pay roll at no additional cost to the company.
