Exploring the Features of the 2013 Kia Rio - What Makes It Tick?
The updated 2013 version of the Kia Rio is very much similar to the 2012 version. Well, who could blame them? With a car this good, you shouldn't really change a single thing or you risk destroying the entire package altogether. Anyway, Kia made a few changes to the 2012 version and brought us a more improved Kia Rio for 2013.

The new Kia Rio is a joy to behold - especially with its sculpted and neatly detailed look. However, the fun doesn't end there. Take a look inside the Rio and you'll know exactly what I mean!

The interior of the new Rio is surprisingly spacious for a supermini. It offers ample leg and headroom so you will surely enjoy a nice and comfortable ride whether you are in the front cabin or are occupying the rear seats.

It also comes with all the standard features you come to expect from a new car. The 2013 Rio has a nicely finished cockpit complete with well-placed and easy to use controls, USB port, auxiliary input jack and steering wheel mounted audio controls. The combination of high quality hard plastic trim and soft-touch surfaces make the interior more pleasing to the eyes. The Rio also has a large cargo space - 13.7 cubic feet for the sedan and 15 cubic feet for the hatchback.

The 2013 Kia Rio is ideal for most people's everyday driving needs. It comes with a standard 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine and a choice between manual and automatic transmission. Critics generally love the fact that the new Rio has enough horsepower to rev it up as it merges on the highway and that it handles surprisingly well on the road.

With the 2013 Rio, you will get a fuel economy of 28/36 mpg (city/highway) with the automatic transmission and 29/37 mpg (city/highway) with the manual transmission. However, by using the new stop/start system, you will get an additional 2 mpg to the automatic transmission city rating making it 30/36 mpg.

The Rio has all the standard safety features you need to keep you safe while you are on the road. It has the standard dual front, side and curtain airbags, child safety locks, anti-lock brakes and stability control, hill-start assist, emergency trunk release, and optional rearview camera.
