Russian Truckers Get Together and this Time, it Gets Really Ugly [NSFW]

Earlier today, we shared a dash-cam video of two truck drivers in Russia ganging up (to some extent) on a passenger car that had attempted to overtake them.
Now, another video of a group of truckers that was recorded on September 9 has been making the internet and even television rounds in Russia – and this one is far more violent.

Passenger Ejected from Kia Cerato Roll Over Crash Lives Another Day

It has been said over and over again that seat belts are there for your own safety and should be worn by all passengers at all times, but some people just don't seem to get it.
In yet another display of what can happen when a driver or a passenger neglects to wear their seatbelt, a woman sitting unbuckled at the back seat of a Kia Cerato that drifted (it seems the driver fell asleep or was not paying attention to the road) and crashed into the side walk before turning over, was thrown out the rear window.

In Russia, You Now Have to Watch Out for Driverless Cars

As if there were not enough irrational drivers on Russia's roads, pedestrians and car owners alike now have to keep an eye out for driverless vehicles with a mind of their own.
Captured on camera is a strange incident that took place the other day in the city of Perm, formerly known as Molotov, in the European part of Russia near the Ural Mountains.

Here's Why Russian Drivers Still Believe in Miracles

If you avoid one accident, it's considered luck, but if you go on to escape a few more in the process, then it's nothing short of a miracle.
Take for example this impatient Russian (we assume) driver, who from the beginning of the video, is going faster than what he should have and what the traffic on the road justified.

Russian Drivers Saved from Trucks Out of Control

In many parts of Russia, the winter weather has already kicked into full gear, with all that this means for the safety of drivers, or the lack thereof.
Today we bring you two separate incidents filmed in different places, but with a similar scenario that concerns heavily loaded trucks losing traction on the frozen roads.

Driver Startled by Car Stopping at a Pedestrian Crossing, Makes a Run for It

As we have seen more times than we care to remember, slowing down at a zebra crossing is something not all Russian drivers are accustomed to, which leads to myriads of accidents like this one.
Only difference here is that after seemingly smashing into the car in front and on the side, the driver of the white Lada Samara quickly turns the hatchback around and heads towards the other lane abandoning the scene of the accident, almost causing another one in the process and leaving the other road users scratching their heads…

Even the Dog Knows there's Something Wrong with this Woman's Parking Skills…

If you happen to be in Russia, you may want to memorize the license plate of this small city car and keep a safe distance from it in the rare chance you cross roads with the woman behind the wheel (or so we are told that it's a lady by the person who uploaded the video), especially is she's trying to park.
To our surprise, even the pup featured in the clip senses that there is something fundamentally wrong with her parking skills and tries to warn the driver about her shortcomings by barking aloud.

Stand Your Ground, the Russian Pedestrian Edition

Florida's 'Stand Your Ground' law, which gained national attention after the high profile shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, states:

"A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony."

We don't know if there's a similar law for pedestrians in Smolensk Oblast in Russia, but this man sure knows how to 'stand his ground' when drivers disregard the signs and don't slow down to let people cross the road. See what happened in the video that follows the break.

Belarusian Grandma Feeling Invincible, Doesn't Even Flinch

We've scolded drivers for not giving way to pedestrians in the past, though, foot-travelers should also keep a visual lookout for oncoming vehicles, especially under harsh weather conditions.

We can't say for sure who's at fault here since the covered up grandma (according to the poster) from Minsk seems to have a green light, but so do the cars coming from the other side of the road.

Kitty Has an Exhaust Pipe Addiction…

You know your cat may be having some kind of serious issues when it pokes its face into a running SUV's tail pipe and takes a few whiffs of the exhaust gasses.

We are going take a wild guess here and assume that this crazy feline is from Russia – well, at least that's what the title of the video suggests.

Oops!...I Did It Again…

We guess everybody is entitled to a mistake on the road, but when you try to run away from your "mistake" only to repeat it moments later, then it's not called a mistake but more like a case of drunk driving…

If you are patient enough to keep watching the video through the 18-second mark, you will see a full-size black sedan rear-ending a small commercial truck before the driver attempts to drive away on the opposite lane of the road only to smash into…another car.

Renault-Nissan Takes Over AvtoVAZ, Plans to Revive Lada and Increase Sales in Russia

With the Eurozone debt crisis stifling new car sales, auto manufacturers are looking elsewhere to make up for lost ground. China may be the world’s largest market but after years of rapid expansion, it shows signs of slowing down.

New car sales in Russia, on the other hand, increased last year by 40 percent to more than 2.6 million vehicles. Even though the rate of increase is expected to cool down, with 2012 sales estimated to be around 2.9 million units, it is still a very interesting prospect.

This is How They Deal with Abandoned and Illegally Parked Cars in Russia

When it comes to vehicles that are abandoned or parked illegally, most municipalities will issue tickets with the hope that owners will pay up and conform to the law, but sometimes, more drastic measures are called for.

In Russia, for example, some cities have no problem taking matters into their own hands and settling the problem once and for all, giving owners a tough lesson.

Dumb and Dumber Get Their Butts Kicked in Road Rage Incident

Next time these two bright youngsters decide to play Rambo with one of their fellow citizens, they just might want to make sure they have the…necessary tools placed in the boot of their car.

For about a minute, we see two compact sedans, a Chevrolet and a Daewoo if we're not hugely mistaken (not that it matters, since they're both the same), chasing each other and generally acting hazardous and completely foolish on the road.

This Truck Driver Could Definitely Use a Backup Camera

Think you're having a bad day? How about this Audi motorist who was caught behind a truck whose driver missed a turn and then simply decided to back up on the road.

As you would expect, such a big vehicle has many blind spots, especially towards the rear, which is why their drivers should exercise extra caution when attempting any change of direction.

Playing Real Life Bumper Cars isn't in the Least Amusing

As scary as this incident may have been for the driver and passengers of the vehicle fitted with the dashboard camera, it could have ended, worse…much, much worse.

The passenger car was traveling on the highway when a truck on the opposite side of the road (look at the 15-second mark) suddenly turned or lost control, we cannot be certain from this distance, and crossed through the other lane.

Dedicated Traffic Officer Hit by a Truck gets on his Feet and Goes Back to Work!

Talk about impeccable work ethics. A police officer, who according to some online commentators, was directing traffic in Kazakhstan (if the incident occurred in another country, leave us a note below), was knocked down by a careless truck driver.

We could be wrong, but from what we can tell, the truck looks like it drove over the cop's foot before it continued on its way.

What Exactly Was this Bicyclist Trying to Do?

Good old Russia (or so we’re told that this incident happened in the land of fire and ice) never fails to entertain us.

Who knows why, though we're pretty sure you can think of a few reasons if you try hard enough, but a bicyclist travelling on the road tried to jump over a car that was slowly heading towards him.
